After launch, the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS will sit between the Grand i10 and i20.
This Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS offers a large cascading grille with a boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. Also, the wide proportional bumper gives it a sporty look. The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS will be available in white, red, silver, teal, grey, and blue colors. Sides have dual-tone alloy wheels and chrome handlebars. And for the rear, it will provide LED taillights with the NIOS lettering across the boot lid and on the C-Pillar a G-i10 logo.
Under the hood, the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS is expected to be powered by BS-VI compliant versions of the 1.2-liter, four-cylinder dual VTVT petrol engine, and three-cylinder CRDi diesel engine of the 1.2-liter.
Below in this article, we are going to share all the possible information regarding Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS in a brief way.
Specifications of Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS
Hyundai will introduce the Grand i10 NIOS with the engines same as the second-generation Grand i10. Currently, the 1.2-liter petrol engine is set to produce 83PS and 113Nm while mated for a 5-speed manual. This engine has also been introduced in the CNG variant. Presently, the Hyundai Grand i10 also provides the option of 4-speed AT with petrol engine that will be replaced with the AMT in the Grand i10 NIOS.
The diesel engine of the 1.2-liter which was introduced in the Grand i10 facelift is also with a 5-speed manual and produces 75PS and 190Nm. Although it does not have an automatic variant, while the NIOS will have an AMT option. With Grand i10 NIOS, Hyundai is expected to upgrade both engines to BS6 emission regulations.
Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Exterior and Interior Compared to Grand i10
Hyundai has completely redesigned the third-generation Grand i10. Hyundai new model looks sportier and fits in with the current styling of the brand.
The most distinctive elements of the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS as compared to the older Grand i10 is the latest form of the Hyundai’s cascading grille with boomerang-shaped DRLs integrated into the flanks. If you are talking about the older model, then the DRLs are placed in the bumpers next to the fog lamps while the grille was split into two parts as well.
The Grand i10 NIOS projector packs headlights as well as the fog lamps, both of which are provided on the second-generation Grand i10. However, the old model still uses halogen lamps.
We do not yet have a clear view at the Grand i10 NIOS real profile, but we know that it will come with new taillights. The new model does not just extend to the side as it does on the older one, it rotates as a unit. Even the brake lights placement, unlike the second-generation Grand i10, has now been replaced with the reversing lights and indicators on the top.
From the side profile, both of them still look identical until you reach the rear end of the new Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS. It looks stretched and has a new bumper design. It also shows a new floating-roof design with the black cladding which extends from the windowline to the rear windscreen panel. Currently, the Hyundai Grand i10 has a regular door frame which separates the windowline from the tailgate panel. As before expecting the dual-tone color options.
The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS also offers a new set of machine-cut alloy wheels which look more elaborately styled as compare the units offered on the current-generation model.
The C-pillar of the new Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS also has a cool graphic which reads G-i10.
The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS gets a redesigned interior as compared to the second generation model. It offers new seats, steering wheel, upholstery, and dashboard.
Now, the infotainment system is housed within a freestanding display which is integrated into the instrument cluster’s housing seen on the Kia Seltos. Grand i10 NIOS screen is integrated flat in the center of the dashboard.
Inside the new instrument, cluster layout has the larger multi-information display. The instrument cluster of the current generation Grand i10 has the speedometer taking up most of the central space, filled with tachometer and fuel and engine temperature readings.
The Grand i10 NIOS touchscreen display is likely to have the same 8-inch unit as given on the Venue. The infotainment system’s screen is flanked by buttons and dials to control certain functions, unlike the Venue. The Grand i10’s 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system sits flush with the physical controls below it in the center of the dashboard.
The steering wheel of the Grand i10 NIOS seems to have been borrowed from Kona Electric and has a new layout for steering mounted controls.
With the new infotainment system positioning, there are no longer the central round-shaped air vents. Instead of the central vents, there are now rectangular in shape and sit under infotainment display. The Auto AC controls are placed in the same location as the second generation Grand i10 but feature a fresh layout.
Round air vents in the corners are designed to be turbine-like which we have seen on the 2019 Santro. Above the glove compartment, the passenger side dashboard now gets a small storage shelf.
In the official image, the Grand i10 NIOS features a dual-tone black and white interior instead of the black and beige interior given on the current Grand i10. It also gets new door pads with different patterns and new door handles.
It is equipped with a wireless charging pad on the back of the gear grafter which is not given on the current model. There is also an AUX port with a power outlet and a USB port as well.
Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Variants
The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS will be offered in the same variants as the second generation Grand i10 but there are some differences in the powertrain available with each. Hyundai will offer the new Grand i10 NIOS with similar 1.2-liter petrol and diesel engines and offer AMT options for both.
Hyundai will not offer the Grand i10 NIOS’s entry-spec Era variant with the diesel engine. In the regular Hyundai fashion, the top-spec Asta variant will not be offered with an automatic option (AMT) for diesel or petrol engines.
The 1.2-liter petrol AMT powertrain will be only available with the Grand i10 NIOS’s Sportz and Magna variants. If you want a diesel engine with a Sportz variant, then you can only get it with the AMT, while the Magna version is available with a manual transmission only.
Unlike the current generation Grand i10, Grand i10 NOIS’s dual-tone option will be only offered on the Sportz variants with a petrol-manual powertrain and will not be available with the diesel engine. Expect an all-black interior with dual-tone NIOS. You have only two dual-tone colors to choose which are:
- Polar White with Black roof
- Aqua Teal with Black roof
Like before, the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS will be present in 6 monotone colors, in which three new colors choices:
- Fiery Red
- Polar White
- Typhoon Silver
- Aqua Teal (NEW)
- Titan Grey (NEW)
- Aqua Blue (NEW)
The entry-spec Era variant is not presented in any of the new exterior color options, while the Aqua Blue is only available from the Sportz variants. The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS will miss out on Marina Blue, Flame Orange, and Star Dust color options which are offered on the second-generation Grand i10 model.
Hyundai Grand i10 Prices in India

The expected price of the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS will be between Rs 5.2 lakh to Rs 7.7 lakh at the time of launch.
